# Zones and Masks

**Zones**

You can define specific areas of a camera frame to apply filter boxes. Thanks to this feature, objects which only are within this particular area will be sent to motion detection and AI services.

Opposite of this, masks are used to block specific areas in a frame to prevent motion detection and AI detection.
