24/7 recording is available in Feniks. Here is the options:
Record File Type
Feniks supports two types of video container formats:
MP4 (Default, Better Image Quality, Superb Compatibility)
WebM (Smaller Size, Does Not Cause Corruption Whether Interrupting Happened or Not)
Record Video Codec
Best option is 'copy' since it doesn't require CPU and GPU for encoding. But if you still want to encode your stream, here are the supported video codecs:
H.264 (Software, VA-API, NVIDIA, INTEL, RASPBERRY PI)
H.265 (Software, VA-API, NVIDIA, INTEL)
AV1 (Software, VA-API, NVIDIA (RTX 4000+), INTEL (ARC GPU))
VP8 (Software, VA-API, NVIDIA, INTEL)
VP9 (Software, VA-API, NVIDIA, INTEL)
Record Preset, Record Quality, Record Framerate, Record Width and Record Height option can be opened if other than the 'copy' option is selected as a video codec.
If you want to get more information about playing video in a given specific encoding format for browsers, please refer to this link.
In addition to that, If you have an Nvidia GPU and have concerns about disc usage, I strongly recommend that you should try NVENC for H264. According to my own experiences and observations, It can reduce a video file by %60-75.
Record Segment Duration
Defines how many minutes video files are recorded and indexed. Default is 15 minutes. This value also represents AI data query standby time.
Record Audio Codec
You can choose one of the specific audio codecs based on camera support. Record Audio Quality, Record Audio Sample Rate and Record Audio Volume can be adjusted except 'copy' option.
